Welcome to Tu-Sun Tai Chi, where I bring the timeless wisdom of Tai Chi to people of all ages and abilities. My classes offer an enriching journey into the world of Wudang Style Tai Chi, bridging ancient principles with contemporary health needs.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an intermediate practitioner, Tu-Sun Tai Chi offers comprehensive training designed to calm the mind, energize the body, and rejuvenate the spirit. My sessions begin with a series of warm-up exercises and light stretching, followed by the practice of the Wudang Style Form. This style is characterized by its gentle, flowing movements and emphasis on deep, rhythmic breathing, which aids in stress reduction and promotes a feeling of well-being.

Join us every Monday at 10 AM at Spoke Coworking, located at 6700 E Speedway Blvd. You can choose to pay $12 per class if you prefer a flexible drop-in option, or save with our $40 monthly pass, which gives you unlimited access for the month, and additional content to increase your knowledge of mindfulness, qigong, and tai chi.

Balance and Harmony

I believe that balance and harmony are not just concepts, but achievable states of being. Named after the Mandarin words for Earth ("Tu") and Heaven ("Sun"), our class aims to harmonize the physical and spiritual, creating a synergy of body and mind.

How do I learn Tai Chi?

Tai Chi is learned by practicing the basic movements for the hands, feet, waist, body as you complete the first set. Each class builds progressively on the skills, moves and stances discussed and demonstrated by the instructor. Tai Chi is practiced at a slow, even pace to develop leg strength and balance. The breath is regulated which helps you center and reduce stress.

What Benefits Come from Tai Chi?

Tai chi can increase flexibility, strengthen muscles and tendons, improve balance and posture as you go through each part of the choreographed set. The gentle movements will help you feel calmer, more balanced, and more energized. Many people report improvements in the symptoms of arthritis, high blood pressure and other health related illnesses. This combination of physical and mental activity works to harmonize the body, mind, body and spirit and promotes feelings of well being.

What should I Wear?

Clothing should be loose and allow for a range of motion. It is recommended that you wear shoes that have a flat sole, as most shoes with supports will alter your posture in the form.
