Revitalize your Mind, Body and Spirit
Welcome to Tu-Sun Tai Chi, where I bring the timeless wisdom of Tai Chi to people of all ages and abilities. My classes offer an enriching journey into the world of Wudang Style Tai Chi, bridging ancient principles with contemporary health needs.
Whether you are a complete beginner or an intermediate practitioner, Tu-Sun Tai Chi offers comprehensive training designed to calm the mind, energize the body, and rejuvenate the spirit. My sessions begin with a series of warm-up exercises and light stretching, followed by the practice of the Wudang Style Form. This style is characterized by its gentle, flowing movements and emphasis on deep, rhythmic breathing, which aids in stress reduction and promotes a feeling of well-being.
Over a 12-week course, you will learn the basic set of movements and understand the underlying principles of Tai Chi. Join me in my Tai Chi classes to experience the grounding energy of the Earth and the expansive consciousness of Heaven. Embrace this journey to holistic wellness and discover a unique blend of balance, health, and inner peace. All you need is comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and a desire to enhance your well-being.
Balance and Harmony
I believe that balance and harmony are not just concepts, but achievable states of being.
Named after the Mandarin words for Earth ("Tu") and Heaven ("Sun"), our classes aim to harmonize the physical and spiritual, creating a synergy of body and mind.
"When I was beginning my career as a mental health counselor, my focus was mainly on diagnosis and treating the symptoms of depression, anxiety and addictions. With the new shift towards positive psychology and wellness, my focus has changed. I have dedicated myself to prevention, taking a more holistic approach to mental health, and helping people understand the importance of prevention. Practicing tai chi, qigong and mindfulness are now being recognized as the “third wave” of cognitive therapy, a way for people to avoid illnesses, find happiness, improve their health and increase the quality of their lives."
